Check Point Software Technologies Ltd.
Check Point is the largest security vendor globally, providing industry-leading cybersecurity solutions to enterprises worldwide.
The MIS Department at Check Point is responsible for the sales management system. As a customer-facing system, the user experience is paramount and so is the pricing accuracy. The Department realized that in order to uphold high UX and accuracy standards, the system would need extensive development and frequent changes. This, in turn, meant they had to automate and streamline the testing process. Since the MIS Department did not have automated testing experience, they turned to RavTech to set up the testing environment and run it.
The project consisted of setting up and deploying the full automated testing cycle, installing the automation environment (including Selenium for UI testing), and instructing the internal team how to use it. This included teaching the MIS team to deploy testing methodologies and unified testing protocols for manual and automated testing. The team learned how to open assignments, define requirements and write precise specifications for testing.
From a testing process that consisted of testing assignments submitted on Excel spreadsheets, testing is now an integral part of continuous product development. A dedicated person writes the testing assignments on the issue-tracking platform (JIRA) that assigns them to the R&D and QA team. As a result, the product catalog is free of errors and customers have noted the improved user experience in using the catalog and ordering new product and services.
